This week in the infant classroom the theme is Bugs and Insects! We enjoyed quite a bit this week between our theme and the week of the young child but here are our favorite moments from the week. The group enjoyed exploring plastic bug jars and exploring the soft bugs inside such as lady bugs, crickets, butterflies and bees! The group also enjoyed dropping plastic bugs inside empty juice jugs and talking about the colors of the fake but quite realistic bug toys as we dropped them in and dumped them back out of the bottles. We also have loved watching our baby caterpillars grow bigger each day! They are all 6 now moving all about the cylinder and we look forward to watching them make their transitions into butterflies! The group also enjoyed participating in Tasty Tuesday, Work together Wednesday and Artsy Thursday! Making our own trial mix bags, making art on blank cards as well as making a class mural with two types of finger paint was such a great way to celebrate week of the young child! We have had a wonderful week but we look forward to a new theme on Monday. Until next time!
