Pirates!

This week’s theme was pirates! In language development, we colored maps with markers, drew with crayons on X’s, stamped construction paper, and wrote on boogie boards. In cognitive development, we counted our crew, did a hidden treasure hunt, and did an exploding treasure experiment! In motor development, we built a pirate ship with blocks, played with sensory chrome balls, played with magnets, and “fed” a treasure chest gems! In art, we painted and revealed a hidden X mark, made pirate flags, and made pirates on paper plates! Tomorrow, we will use notepads and pencils, play with a toy tool set, and use sponge rollers!
