It has been a week filled of numbers, and counting! Monday in art the children explored painting with emotion stampers and in language they matched number words. In math the children engaged in a number bingo game. Tiesday in art the children created a picture using watercolor paint and in language the children practiced writing number words. In math the children engaged in a hi-ho cherry oh game. Wednesday in art the children requested to play with playdough and so they worked their small muscles to help strengthen their fine motor skills as they explored the playdough. In language the children engaged in a letter matching game and in math they explored a black and white memory game. Today in art the children painted with pumpkin cookie cutters and in language the children will hunt for numbers around the room this afternoon. In math the children graphed, and sorted bear counters by color. Tomorrow in art the children will paint with combs and in language they will trace numbers. In math the children will add frog counters to logs and count. In the sensory table this week the children worked with scissors to fine tune their cutting skills and i the block area this week the children have been busy building train tracks!
