Numbers!

We introduced the theme with a number board, songs, books, counting and various materials throughout the week number related. most of the children can count up to 12-15.

Art

The art all week consisted of gluing  various materials such as flowers, confetti, fish bowl, paper and number collage with the number equaling the number of materials.

Math

Uno cards and jumbo dominos with numbers on them to match the cards, number popsicle sticks to practice number recognition and name new numbers, button shape/color grid to practice colors and matching shapes, and number cookies to practice counting by pointing to the chocolate chips on each cookie.

Motor Development

The children used number mini clothespins to practice squeezing/opening and closing by placing on paper butterflies, magnets with wands to experiment with science and watch what happens when they connect together, number cupcake liners with dots to help the children see how many pom-poms to place inside with tongs, number cups with pipe cleaners to push the number of pipe cleaners/small counters through the cup.
