I introduced the theme with a Globe and named places all around the world, blue for water/ocean, green for hills valleys/mountains. each day we talked about a different country, music, foods, traditions. We tapped African drums and Chinese hand held drums.

The children practiced matching in pairs of 2 by finding the same pictures of children around the world, Giraffe spots grid with dots stickers for counting the spots, interactive bus with colored windows and blocks to place inside the same color, Chinese new Year pattern matching animals poster board and guess and name animal sounds.
Motor Development
Play dough with earth grids- pull a part green/blue play dough and place on area that represents water/ earth, Basket weaving with ribbon and baskets to weave in and out of openings, sand tracing with bus counters to make tracks, chop sticks/pom-poms and Chinese boxes to practice how to use chop sticks, Freeze game.
