This week’s theme was Halloween and boy did we have some fun! In language development this week, we reviewed words and pictures on our Halloween vocab board, wrote on boogie boards, placed letters in a jack-o-lantern, and colored on ghost cutouts. In cognitive development this week, we matched different Halloween cutouts, counted pumpkins, manipulated puzzles, and sorted different colored spider rings. In motor development this week, we danced to Monster Mash, stacked pumpkins, manipulated oobleck, and retrieved spider rings from a yarn spider web. In social and emotional development this week, we played our instruments while we listened to Halloween songs, and we talked about different emotions. In social studies development this week, we focused on cleaning up and placing items in the right container. In art this week, we glued cotton balls onto ghosts, painted abstract pumpkins, and group painted two pumpkins. Tomorrow we will place pictures of the itsy bitsy spider on the felt board for language development, attach colored clothespins to colored paper plates for cognitive development, feed pompoms to a paper bag ghost in motor development, and decorate pumpkin cutouts in art.
