What is the Weather Like Today?

It is weather week and preschool has had many discussions on the different kinds of weather and have learned all about the changes of weather for each season. Monday in art the children made shaving cream clouds and in language the children practiced writing letters. In math the children added colored gems to an umbrella 1 to 1 correspondence grid. Tuesday in art the children made their turkey hats for the feast and in language they traced lower case letters with colored gems. In math the children did some rainbow patterning with stringing beads. Wednesday in art the children built igloos using sugar cubes and in language the children matched lettered penguins. In math the children engaged in a mitten concentration activity. Today in art the children did some cork prints with green and yellow colors and in language the children will practice writing weather words this afternoon. In math the children added sun rays to the sun, using a die to determine how many to add each time. Tomorrow in art the children will do some cutting and gluing and in language they will sort letters of which ones have curvy lines, and which ones have straight lines. In math the children will explore a number sense raindrop activity. In the block area this week the children explored cars and car tracks.
