Out of this World!

This week’s theme was Out of this World! In language and literacy, we drew with markers on stars, did boogie boards, traced rockets with crayons, and manipulated felt boards. In math, we counted stars and matched up planets by color. In fine and large motor, we laced planets, walked like an astronaut, and played with magnet tiles. In social/emotional development, we talked about our feelings and matched feelings to faces. In art, we made a galaxy with sponges, made planets on paper plates, and painted with star stamp rollers. Tomorrow we will practice writing with notepads and pencils, sort foam beads, do space yoga poses, and paint a moon cutout.
