This week’s theme was Black History. In language development, we read various books, wrote on chalkboards, practiced writing letters, colored peanut cutouts, and used dry erase boards. In math, we matched lights to a traffic light and counted peanut cutouts. In science, we explored an oil and water discovery bottle and conducted a balloon and baking soda experiment. For motor development, we played “Red Light, Green Light,” manipulated sound and sort stackers, participated in a relay race, and completed shape puzzles. In social and emotional development, we pretended to sit on a bus and sang “Wheels on the Bus,” and played a “Who Has?” game. In art, we created traffic lights, glued people on a bus, painted with shaving cream, and made handprints.
Tomorrow, we will write on magnetic writing boards in language development, match numbers in math, do a balloon pat activity for motor development, read and discuss a book about Black Americans in social studies, and decorate a trumpet in art.
