Did you brush your teeth this morning? Last night? Did you floss? These are the questions we have been asking this week! It was all about dental health this week and we all agreed to brush our teeth at least twice a day, everyday for healthy teeth! We do brush our teeth after lunch each day at school, but we sure do make it a quick trip so we are now working on the “brush for two minutes” rule. For art, we have used toothbrushes to paint with and dental floss for a unique look! We also drew pictures of the Tooth Fairy. We have a lot of thoughts on her! Most of us have not even lost a tooth yet, but we know all about the Tooth Fairy! Our math activities have been centered around “teeth” (mostly white buttons) and numbers. We also worked in some patterning with dental health pictures. Language activities have been all about letters. One of our favorite activities was to brush away the letters written on the teeth. Our sensory bin has been filled with white packing peanuts (giant teeth) and toothbrushes. Our letter of the week is ‘Uu”. We went around the class and everyone told us the names of their uncles! Sadly, we have not been outside this week, but we have been having some fun in the Great Room. Since we are talking about keeping our teeth healthy, we have been having races with the (pretend) fruits and vegetables all week. We have made “salads” and even did a fun game of “Super Market Sweep!” We made a very cold week, a very fun week!
