We introduced the theme with books, songs, pictures, print and various activities throughout the week related to Spring. We talked about the changing weather and Seasons and what we are going start seeing.
Art
Monday- Egg carton flowers
Tuesday- Cupcake liner flowers
Wednesday- Butterfly with paint
Thursday- Lady Bug
Friday- Bumble Bee
Math
Math flower garden w/ numbers for counting and number recognition, cupcake liners with colors with colored chips for match same colors, colored craft sticks with pom-poms to count, line up and name colors, rain cloud number boards with markers to practice tracing and naming numbers.
Motor Development
Flower pastel water cubes with tongs and pails to strengthen fine motor grip/squeeze and open motions, egg carton with play-doh and plastic flowers for poking and pressing, colored mini clothespins with colored paper butterflies to pin using squeezing motions with fingers/hands, lady bug jars with pom-poms and tongs to practice turning and twisting motions with lids, stringing bee plates with black yarn to practice stringing.
Sensory Table
Foam blocks with fake flowers for poking and standing up.
