It is friends week and we have had many talks about things we can do with friends and how to be kind to our friends. Monday in art the children painted with loofah’s and in language they matched letters to their name. In math the children engaged in a friends bingo game. Tuesday in art the children explored watercolor painting and in language they looked at letters around the room. In math the children sorted fruit and veggie counters. Wednesday in art the children did some cut and glue and in language they dictated why friends are special. In math the children worked with shape cookies to match. Today was swim and bubble party!! Lots of fun blowing and popping bubbles! In language the children did some stringing with letters and in math this afternoon we will play musical chairs and name the shape that’s under the chair when the music stops. In the sensory table this week the children continued to explore noodles with colanders and ladles. In the block area, the children continue to be creative working with big and small dinosaurs, so many constructions and homes for the dinos! The children have also been interested in Toy Story so we brought out a Toy Story memory game to work with in math and we borrowed pre-k’s potato heads and have had those out all week, and the children have been so excited to work with them!
