Fun with Colors & Shapes

We introduced the theme by the color and shape of the day posted on the word wall board with print. We review each shape and color by asking the children to point and name each one. 

Art

Monday- Stamped with rectangle sponges on easel with yellow paint

Tuesday-Cup stamping with various size cups with blue paint

Wednesday-Glued red paper squares and white square paper

Thursday- Triangle shape stamping with green paint

Friday- Star- glue paper stars to letter S

Math

Duck patterning with various size ducks on sentence strip, number bubble machine with colored chips to match same color on each bubble, color shape drop with various block shapes by dropping in the right shape, colored tape shapes on table with shape colored blocks to practice color and shape recognition, color muffin tin matching with various materials to place in each space.

Motor Development

Magnet doodle boards to practice making shapes, lines, scribbles, colored button shape lacing with pipe cleaners to work on and build finger/hand grasp/eye-hand coordination,  red play-dough with tools for cutting and rolling, various shape puzzles for manipulation and star link connectors to practice 

Sensory Table

Colored water, boats, fish, nets and cups

Balloons with paddles
