Celebrating Hanukkah!

It has been a week about Hanukkah and the babies are learning about it in a few different ways.  We have read books to them about different aspects of this holiday while pointing out the different colors and pictures that are in the stories.  Families are a big part of this holiday and we have practiced pointing out he pictures of their families while practicing saying mama and dada.  They stuck blue and white tissue paper to contact paper as we talked about Hanukkah.  They have crawled through the tunnel and played outside, they had so much fun with both!  Coloring and painting have been our prominent art activities this week as they work on strengthening their fine motor skills.  Our older children are doing so well using their spoons and their toothbrushes the right way and they are very proud of themselves.  There have been pom poms in whisks to try and pull out and pages to practice turning on their own while exploring books.  Nesting cups, lacing toys, spinner toys (push down the handles to make the toys spin inside), and bubble wrap have all been out to discover and all have had the opportunity to play with them in their own way.  Peek-a-boo and movement songs have been all the rage this week as the babies are dancing and moving to the music they hear.  Many of them are stacking blocks while others are working on sitting and crawling.  It has been a fun week and next week, we venture into Christmas with them!
