Art
Monday-Spatula splat art with spatulas, paper and paint
Tuesday- Decorate Superhero masks
Wednesday-Capes/crowns- colored with paint crayons, stickers
Thursday- Spiderman hands- painted hands blue and red, stamped on red/blue paper
Friday- Make Captain America shields- glue stars, glitter and paper stars
Math
The children explored with various materials to work on and build their early math learning through theme related activities and regular activities. The activities allow the children to build their thinking skills, problem-solve, make patterns and trial and error experiences. The following activities were set out on the table top activities, colored masks to scratch and make a rainbow while using a small wooden writing tool, bubble gum machine math grid game to count gum balls while placing colored chips on each ball, color and shape bingo grid to practice matching shapes and colors, matching colored cap math grid.
Motor Development
The children explored with various materials to work on and build their fine motor skills through theme related activities and regular activities. The activities allow the children to build their manipulation,. problem-solve, and eye-hand coordination The following activities were set out on the table top activities; web tape on the table to peel off using their fingers/hands, green slime w/ small counter to make impressions, string the stars using wooden clothespins to practice open and close motions, red/blue clear large cups and small cups for stacking and building, and scissors w/ red/white/blue paper to practice grip, handle holding and open and close motion to make slits and cut paper.
