Merry Christmas....in July!! We hope that everyone has had a wonderful week because we know we did here in pre-k. This week we celebrated Christmas in July with a bunch of different activities. The children got a head start on their Christmas list for this year and they did not disappoint! This week we also made our Christmas Palm tree where we decorated it and created presents to put under it! The children also worked on their letter writing and number recognition with some fun games. We worked on a fun experiment where we put three different cups of liquids- rubbing alcohol, water and milk and added some mints to each to see which one will dissolve faster. Overall, the mints seem to be dissolve within a couple minutes of being in each liquid. We discussed where we would go if we were Santa and we were on vacation. There were many different answers from Florida to Colorado to even Mexico! Even though it was a little chilly this week, the children did spend some time swimming. Their favorite thing to do is to take water from one pool and put it in the other to see how fast they can fill it to the top. Even though we had fun in the classroom, let’s not forget about our wonderful field trips this week. This week we went to Bain Park and Bradley Nature Park where we explored the outdoors and even saw a mama deer with her baby. We had fun this week and hope that everyone enjoyed celebrating Christmas in July….come Sunday…only 5 more months till Christmas…but who’s counting! Have a wonderful weekend!
