Learning About the People in our Neighborhood - Young Toddler

Posted by [email protected] on October 7, 2021 at 1:40 PM

It has been a week of fire safety and community helpers and they have been having a lot of fun with the activities that they have been doing. Red and yellow paint were added to baggies and the children had a chance to manipulate them on the outside of the bags with their hands and fingers and they also painted with whisks - what fun and different ways to experience paint in their environment. They put stickers on road printouts, glued cut up newspaper to other pieces of paper, and rolled trucks through paint. Flashlight beams were chased around the room, they ran from wall to wall out on the patio and followed a line made of chalk. They are planning a parade with instruments around the room and will try picking up cotton balls with tongs. It has been a week full of fun and learning and next week promises to be just as much excitement when it will be all about nursery rhymes.
