Nursery Rhyme Fun - Young Toddler

Nursery Rhymes

Art

The children marble painted with white paint on black paper, made candle sticks to resemble "Jack Be Nimble", painted with school buses by rolling them back and forth to make tracks, stamped with star cookie cutters and tomorrow the children will put Humpty-Dumpty back together by gluing on pieces.

Math

Money counting and sorting with jumbo plastic coins and baskets, cotton ball counting by placing them on sheep pattern contact paper ,egg matching and tomorrow the children will explore with colanders and black pipe cleaners to practice counting.

Motor Development

The children practiced lacing with spider rings and straws, rip white paper to strengthen fine motor skills. egg balancing on jumbo spoons and tomorrow the children will manipulate play dough into muffin tins.

Social activities:

The children learned how to do "London Bridges" by pairing up with partners/teachers, we pretended to be spiders by crawling on the spout on the floor, Exercise Cube, made play dough and dry erase boards.
