Numbers are Fun! - Pre-School

This week's focus has been on numbers, and counting. Monday in art the children used number stamps with stamp pads, in language the children matched number words together and in math they played number bingo. Tuesday in art the children painted with watercolors, and in math they worked on number puzzles. Wednesday in art the children chose a number to glue collage materials to, in language the children looked for numbers posted around the room, and in math the children matched egg halves by number. Today in art the children painted with emotion face stamps, in math the children graphed bear counters by color and in language the children practiced writing as they traced numbers nd worked on writing tir name. Tomorrow in art the children will glue numbers to paper, in language the children will look for numbers hidden around the room and in math they will add frog counters to a log and count.. This week the children also worked their fine motor skills to transfer pumpkin seds to an ice cube tray using plastic tweezers. The children have also been exploring sensory balls in the science area as well as small sensory marbles in the sensory table.
