It's been a very exciting week celebrating Halloween! On Monday in art the children painted orange with water bottles, in math they engaged in a candy corn number matching activity and in language they played a Halloween bingo game. Tuesday in art the children practiced their cutting skills to cut a pumpkin and glue a jack-o-lantern face to it. In mat the children added pumpkin seeds to a 1:1 grid and in language they dictated what they will be for Halloween! Wednesday was our fun Halloween celebration. Miss Rasta brought a Halloween math game she made for the children to play and they had so much fun! In language the children worked on writing Halloween words and in art we kept it simple with stencils and crayons. The children joined the other classrooms, distanced, to sing some Halloween songs and then they got to trick-or-treat around the center. The children went out on the patio and our doctor and nurse friends from upstairs threw candy down from the balcony, so cool! Ms. Judy had some fun Halloween games to play in the great room and we did a fun Halloween movement song in the classroom. Today in art the children marble painted fall colors of green, yellow, and orange. In math the children played a Halloween concentration game and we had a haunted house letter match game for our language activity. Tomorrow in art the children will do some crayon resist painting, in math they will roll 'n cover numbers on a jack-o-lantern and in language the children will sort letters into groups of letters with holes and letters with no holes.
