This week we have been talking a lot about our families and learning about each other's families. Monday in art the children painted with emotion face stampers, and in language the children dictated what they like to do with their family. Tuesday in art the children painted with pencil erasers, and in math the children counted and matched people counters to the corresponding color house. Wednesday in art the children painted with foil, in language the children worked on rhymes by listening to rhyming words and matching them to the correct rhyming house. In math the children matched baby animal to the mommy animal. Today in art the children decorated their feather hats for the feast and this afternoon in language the children will match letters to their name cards. Lunch time today was so fun for the children today, getting to have a Thanksgiving feast in the great room, socially distanced from the other classrooms, and eat some delicious food! Tomorrow in art the children will glue people cutouts to paper, in language they will find letters around the room and in math they will add beads to a pipe cleaner using a die to tell how many to add each time; also a great fine motor activity! This week in the water table the children explored fruit counters with cups, and large tongs.
