Five Senses Fun - Young Toddler

Posted by [email protected] on March 10, 2022 at 4:40 PM

This week we learned about our five senses. We learned about our sense of sight as we painted with sunglasses on, played with magnifying glasses, hopped on different colored circles, wrote on contact paper, and played hide and seek. We learned about our sense of smell as we painted with kool-aid, colored with scented markers, and played with scented play-doh. We learned about our sense of taste as we glued our snack onto paper for art and tomorrow we will string cheerios. We learned about our sense of touch as we did a texture collage in art, sorted animal stencils, wrote on contact paper, sorted math tiles, and stacked wood samples. Tomorrow we will learn about our sense of hearing as we paint we marbles and manipulate alphabet peg boards. We already touched base on our hearing as we played simon says earlier in the week and played with shape pound benches. We also added rice and scoops into our sensory table this week and we read various books about the five senses.
