It's all about spring and we can feel it in the air! It was a little warmer this week and we were so excited to see signs of spring everywhere! We saw a few flowers popping up out on the playground and a couple of the children described their flowers that are popping up at home. We also found lots and lots of worms this week! That may not be exciting for some people, but this class collects them! We of course put them back in the dirt before we come back in the building. For some art, we made it rain by dripping water droplets in paper, and we also used a bottom of a pop bottle to make cherry blossom trees. We made some eye catching raindrops in our back window too! Come on in to see our masterpieces! Our math has been counting, sorting and patterning flower petals and we even played a path game and got the children to the garden! Our language activities have been all about the letter of the week (Yy) and also filling in missing letters on an alphabet chart. Our sensory table is filled with "dirt" and flowers! Our science table is a wind experiment. If the wind can blow it around, you put it in the "yes" column and if not, it goes in the "no" column. We have been chalking and blowing bubbles outside each day and really enjoying the weather (even the rain!).
