We raced through this week as we learned about transportation. We practiced our language skills by reading various books about transportation, using bingo daubers on the letter T, coloring on road signs and writing with markers. To work on our math and science skills we matched colored cars, parked cars in parking spaces, sorted vehicles according to color, and did an experiment to see how many blocks it would take to sink our boat. To work on our fine motor skills we put together vehicle puzzles, traced roads with our cars, manipulated easter egg cars and trucks, and played with construction trucks and play-doh. in art we painted with cars, used glitter on road signs, made traffic lights, and stamped boats and planes on paper. We also played in our pop up bus with our friends, held onto each other as we pretended to be a choo-choo train, and we played with cars and ramps in our block area. We also listened to various songs about transportation such as The Wheels on the Bus, Drive My Car, and Row, Row, Row Your Boat.
