Hello families! We hope you are doing well and we wanted to let you know what this week was all about. This week the children learned about different genres of music. We started our week calm with some classical music on Monday then Tuesday we picked up the pace with some reggae. Wednesday we learned about jazz/blues and the children felt that the music was too sad for their liking. On Thursday it was all about that country music and we will end the week taking it back to the 80's! The children worked on their number and letter recognition as well as beginning sounds. We played our very own xylophone which was made from Mason jars filled with different levels of water....more water=low pitch and less water=high pitch with some food coloring to make it fun! We had two special guests Aunt Tiffany and Aunt Cheryl who are bee keepers and they came to share their bees with us! That honey sure was good. We went on two field trips this week which included Edgewater Park and Miller Road Park. The children also enjoyed a swim day! We also began talking about how we all feel with starting a new chapter of Kindergarten. We have been reading books about emotions and how it is okay to feel a million emotions at once. We will continue to talk about preparing for Kindergarten and our emotions on starting this new chapter! We hope you all have a great and wonderful weekend!
