St. Patrick's Day - Older Toddler

Word Wall: St. Patrick's Day- name of the colors of the rainbow while finding objects in the classroom that match, St. Patrick's Day Chicka Boom song and dance.
Cognitive and General Knowledge: Green pom poms with green containers and scoops, green/ yellow piping with green hats, numbered St. Patrick's Day ducks to match the numbers on the pots, counting gold coins in pots. On Friday we will do a skittles rainbow science experience.
Motor Development: Green q-tips with green foam blocks, green slime and play dough with gold coins, mini green solo cups with green paper for stacking, leprechaun hats for stacking and building. On Friday we will use green gems and baskets.
Art: Shamrock marble painting, pot of gold, leprechaun hats, St. Patrick's Day necklace. On Friday we will be making a rainbow with rainbow pieces and contact paper.
Blocks: Green solo cups and green boxes.
Sensory bin: Apple jacks, gold coins, shamrocks, buckets and scoopers.
St. Patrick's Day: Special snack- cheese and crackers, grapes, guacamole, cookies, cupcakes, green juice. We made special hats and necklaces. During nap, our little leprechaun came and made a BIG mess in the dramatic play area and block area. He left us a note that said "better luck next year." The Leprechaun left us gold chocolate coins and unicorn snacks.
