Bunnies and Baskets!

We introduced the theme with pictures and print, Easter stories and songs. We talked about the Easter bunny visiting and what they think he brings in a basket.

Art

Monday-Easter egg- painted with Karo syrup

Tuesday-Easter Chick- Stamped with yellow paint using a fork and added eyes, peak, feet and feathers

Wednesday- Bunny- stamped with bunny cookie cutters and added cotton balls for tail

Thursday- Easter eggs- Painted eggs

Math

Counted number colored eggs by placing in baskets, Jelly bean color matching with color paper grid to practice color recognition, bunny trays with large plastic eggs for matching and counting and color Easter eggs.

Motor Development

Plastic Easter eggs for connecting/snapping together, Easter Rubik cubes to practice twisting and turning motion, small carrot counters/tongs and carrot bags to fill, pull strings close and open using thumbs to strengthen fine motor , egg lacing cards with shoe strings and shimmery egg craft sticks.
