We had a very busy week this week! Our theme is Circus. We talked about what we see at the Circus and do not see at the Circus. We talked about people doing circus acts such as tight rope, unicycle, acrobats, etc. I asked the children if they have been to a circus and most said no. I showed a very short video of a few Circuses to give them an idea of what it is. They loved seeing the people moving around and they said the people are getting lots of exercise because they were moving a lot! I wanted to show the children that not all circuses have animals.
We did a peanut letter match (uppercase to lowercase), we made letters using popcorn, we did Circus Write the Room, and we came up with a Circus word list and practiced writing the words.
We did an activity where we counted the number of popcorn using 1:1 correspondence, practiced writing letters with popcorn, and Circus puzzle.
Speaking of Circus, thank you so much for coming! We appreciate you coming to see the children perform because they worked so hard on their acts. We hope you enjoyed the circus as well!
We went to see Poli Pop at Playhouse Square and the children loved it! They laughed, danced, and clapped during the performance.
The Safe Harbor Animal Rescue is still going on. Any donations can go into the box as you enter our center.
