What’s Your Favorite Sea Animal?

We introduced the theme with songs, named under the sea animals with picture cards, what’s your favorite sea animal?

Art

Monday- Star fish glued cheerios on star shape

Tuesday- Rainbow Fish- glued rainbow confetti on paper plate

Wednesday- Whale- Koosh ring painting with blue paint, glued spout

Thursday- Seahorse bubble wrap hand stamping

Friday-Crab- paint bowl red, glue claw/pieces

Math

Ocean animal counters with with bowls and tongs for counting one-to-one, number fishing with poles-name  numbers they know, practice counting, magnet shoe horse and rings to watch connections, Octopus counting grid with numbers and pom-poms to place over each number and name, and fish counting with hand nets.

Motor Development

Sea animal  counters with tongs and trays to practice open and close motions/squeeze to pick up and drop, under the sea animal puzzles, Octopus bottles with colored craft sticks for dropping into bottles/shaking out working arm/hand and fingers, whale poster board with crayon paints to design/practice grip and taking off cap/putting back on to work fingers and blue play dough with sea animal counters.

Sensory Table

Colored water each day, with sea animals and linking fish
