This week’s theme was fathers. In language development this week, we read various books about dads, “traced” the letter D, colored on blank dad portraits, wrote on boogie boards, and built letters with letter connectors. In cognitive development this week, we manipulated math tiles, placed black and red pieces on a chess board, did a water experiment, and sorted different colored ties. In motor development this week, we connected animal connectors, manipulated magnet tiles, climbed through a mini obstacle course, threaded cheerios onto pipe cleaners, and manipulated bottle caps. In art this week, we worked on our Father’s Day gift and card, and did finger painting. Tomorrow we will color on paper with crayons and play “Father Says” in language development, manipulate puzzles in cognitive development, play golf and place stickers on a poster board in motor development, and paint tie cutouts in art.
