This has been a fun theme for the preschoolers, a week of all their favorites from Construction trucks to constructions tools! Monday in art the children painted with hammers and in math the children engaged in a community helper lotto game. Tuesday in art the children painted with rollers and in language they wrote, or traced construction tool words. In math the children practiced writing numbers on chalkboards. Wednesday in art the children spray bottle painted on a large piece of paper outside! In math the children engaged in a construction bingo game and in language they dictated what they would build. Today was a swim day and the children had so much fun! In language the children built letter towers, as they stacked letter tiles and named them as they built. Tomorrow in art the children will explore play dough and scissor, a great experience to strengthen their fine motor skills. In language the children will match hard hat letters and in math the children will explore measuring by finding materials around the room that measure the same size as a 10 inch board. This week in science the children explored how a pulley works and in the dry table they worked with tools. Construction hats, tools and safety vests were added to drama for the children to experience and the children built with red plastic cups in the block area.
