This week’s theme was friends. In language development this week, we read various books, colored on paper with crayons, manipulated alphabet blocks, wrote on magnetic writing boards, and colored on notepads with colored pencils. In cognitive development this week, we matched dragons to their colored houses, matched shapes in shape sorters, counted our friends, and played “I Spy.” In motor development this week, we built with bristle blocks, threaded beads through pipe cleaners, tossed balls to our friends, and manipulated threading boards. In social and emotional development this week, we played “Ring Around the Rosie” and “Follow the Leader.” In Social studies this week, we played a name game and a passing game. In art this week, we made handprints, painted with a friends, painted with paint rollers, and painted a heart outline. In health and safety this week, we read and discussed “Teeth are not for Biting” and talked about taking turns washing hands. Tomorrow we will be closed. Enjoy your weekend!
