This week’s theme was artists. In language development this week, we read various books about colors, wrote on dry erase boards, manipulated letter connectors to form letters, matched different letters to each other, and traced our names. In cognitive development, we counted flowers, matched paintbrushes to paint, mixed different colors into white paint, and matched different art supplies to each other. In motor development this week, we hopped on different colors taped to the floor, manipulated wooden blocks, played with finger people and animals, built with magnetic builders, and worked with lacing boards. In social and emotional development, we talked about different colors we like, and practiced breathing exercises. In social studies, we talked about the different members in our families. In art this week, we painted with blue paint, sculpted with play-doh, took pictures with a polaroid camera, and made dot rt with bingo daubers. Tomorrow, we will write on boogie boards, manipulate magnet numbers, manipulate sound and shape sorters, and have music with Miss Mel.
