It has been a week all about our friends and it has been full of fun activities! They absolutely love when dance music comes on so they can move and groove with all of their friends so there have been plenty of spontaneous dance parties happening throughout the week which then sparks lots of laughter. They have practiced dropping rings into containers, took rings on and off stacking toys, and pulled popsicle sticks off the mat that had been affixed with tape. We have been working on making consonant sounds and repeating them after a teacher while listening to books and watching fingerplays all about friends. They have been watching themselves in the mirrors and listening to us talk about everything they see. The animals outside have been putting on quite the show for the babies as they watch them from our window and it really fascinates and holds their attention for quite a bit of time. Shaking homemade shakers has produced a lot of silly faces and funny movements while some are practicing clapping two toys together with them. Bubbles and items to watch that are above them have been keeping our youngest using developing tracking skills while also watching our faces as we talk to them one on one. What a fun-filled week, can’t wait to see what next week brings!
