What is a Friend?

What is a friend? According to pre-k, a friend is a person who is kind to you and helps you when you need it. This week was all about friends and being a kind friend to one another. Since our friends are going off to bigger and better things…kindergarten, we worked on introducing ourselves to make new friends. This week the children worked with dominoes and making patterns at the math area. At language, the children worked with letter magnets and writing their friend’s names. The children worked on drawing pictures of their friends and making friendship bracelets. We ended our last week of summer with two awesome field trips. On Tuesday we went to Scenic Valley to play and eat our lunch and then ended the day with some ice cream at Malley’s. For our last field trip on Thursday, we spent time with our school age friends and Miss Michelle to celebrate the end of summer. We want to wish our friends good luck in kindergarten. We know that they will do great and we will miss them! As we tell our friends, it is not good bye, it is see you later. Don’t be a stranger….you know where to find us!
