It is color and shape week and we have enjoyed seeing all the children wear the same color each day. Monday in art the children painted blue shape stamps blue on light blue paper. In math the children engaged in a shape concentration activity and in language the children matched blue letters to blue letters on blue squares! Tuesday in art the children painted red hand prints on triangles and in math they added red apples to a tree. In language the children did some pre writing practice focusing on pincer grip, to trace shapes. Wednesday in art the children cut and glued to create a shades of green collage. In math the children sorted green shapes and in language they matched color words. Today in art the children will explore painting circles yellow with a loofah, this afternoon. In language the children traced the letters of their name with play dough and in math the children sorted animal counters by color. Tomorrow in art the children will paint a white puffy paint mural and in math they will use a 1 to 1 correspondence grid with shapes. In language the children practice writing shape and color words for the word wall.
