What A Beautiful Piece of Work You Created!

This week was all about artists and we could not have been more excited to make creations each day with different materials and mediums! Monday, we made a group mural on paper with crayons. Tuesday, we used clay to sculpt a balloon dog like Jeff Koonz. On Wednesday, we made a dot painting, similar to what Damian Hirst created. We used the end of the pencil to make small dots on paper with paint. Thursday was working with watercolors and canvases. We used small brushes and took our time to cover the whole surface. These boys and girls are really good at painting and they have an eye for blending and mixing colors just so. Friday will be all about Ansel Adams and all things black and white. We will take pictures and develop them in black and white. We will also play with dominos and other toys that are similar in color (or lack there of!). We got outside again this week and we had a ball! Monday was almost like a spring day! We heard birds chirping and everything was melted. Thursday morning was a little frozen over, but that didn’t stop the fun of play! We broke up icicles and pretended to skate on the ground. We are really good at creating fun!
