This week’s theme was dental health. In language development we read various books, wrote on laminated teeth with markers, use bingo daubers on tooth pictures, manipulate magnet letters, and created stories with felt board and pieces. In math development this week, manipulated puzzles, matched different colored toothbrushes, stacked and attached math tiles, and sorted teeth by color and size. In fine motor this week, we walked across the balance beam, laced tooth-shaped lacing boards, climbed on the rainbow climber, and played with popsicle sticks and play-doh. In social/emotional development this week, we talked about brushing teeth and toothbrushing practices. In art this week, we painted with tooth paste, painted with toothbrushes, colored and decorated a tooth cut out, and glued cotton balls onto a paper plate. Tomorrow we will manipulate wooden letter blocks for language development, place stickers on teeth for math, play chase for motor development, and paint with yellow paint in art.
