All About Halloween

we introduced the week’s theme with Pictures, books, print , Halloween songs, And various activities related to Halloween.

Art

Monday – The children painted on black paper with white paint to make a ghost, and glued white cotton balls,

Tuesday- The children stamped with Halloween cookie cutters on black and orange paper with black and orange paint.

Wednesday- The children made a witch face by painting it green and face pieces and yarn.

Thursday- The children glued yellow and orange tissue paper on white paper to resemble a candy corn.

Friday-  The children made a skeleton by gluing on q-tips to black paper

Math

The children practiced counting with plastic eyeballs and wicker witch baskets by placing them in one by one, We practiced our colors with colored spider rings and cups to match by dropping in the same color spider into the cup., we practiced counting candy corn pieces with pumpkin grids with numbers and dots related to numbers one to one, the children played Halloween Bingo by matching the same Halloween pictures to the bingo grid board, and counting foam bones and pails.

Motor Development

Witch craft hats with foam containers for pushing down and pulling up, Halloween stickers and Halloween paper for peeling, sticking and pressing, Halloween erasers, pails and tongs, black cats on craft sticks, 

Sensory Table

Orange rice, Halloween themed materials, pumpkin buckets
