πŸ‘¨β€πŸ‘©β€πŸ‘§πŸ’ This Week in Our Classroom: Mothers! πŸ’πŸ‘¨β€πŸ‘©β€πŸ‘§

This week, we spent time learning about mothers, caring for others, and celebrating the special people in our lives through hands-on activities and play!

πŸ—£ Language Development
Β We looked at and named family members in family photos πŸ“Έ, practiced writing on dry erase boards with markers, matched pictures to similar images, and explored letter blocksβ€”building vocabulary and recognition skills connected to family and home.

🧠 Cognitive Development
Β The children sorted dolls by big and small, explored the difference between warm and cold bottles, and practiced one-to-one correspondence by placing one baby doll in each bed. We also tested which baby bath toys could sink or float πŸ›.

πŸƒ Motor Development
Β We pushed baby strollers around the classroom, practiced twisting bottle lids, and did different movements like crawling, hopping, and running to reach baby dolls. The children also explored opening and closing Velcro diapersβ€”strengthening fine motor skills and coordination.

😊 Social & Emotional Development
Β The children practiced caring for baby dolls in our baby care station, feeding and nurturing them with gentle hands. We also made special Mother’s Day gifts and cards πŸ’– to celebrate the important people in our families.

🎨 Art
Β Our little artists created colorful Mother’s Day projects, scribbled on cards with crayons, and painted with sponges to make special keepsakes 🎨.

🧱 Blocks & Sensory
Β We added people blocks to our block area for imaginative family play. In sensory, the children enjoyed Baby Bath Time, washing and caring for dolls and toys.

πŸ“š Books We Read This Week
Β We enjoyed Runaway Bunny, Are You My Mother?, Everything is Mama, and Chicka Chicka I Love Mom during large group time πŸ“–.

✨ Looking Ahead to Tomorrow:

It’s been a loving and meaningful week full of family fun, nurturing play, and creativity! πŸ’›πŸ‘Ά
