Exploring All About Me – Young Toddler

Your young toddler will switch from a crib to a cot as just one of their many areas of development in this classroom.

This week’s theme was All About Me.

This week, we read books which helped us with our language skills. To help with our cognitive skills, we traced our bodies, traced our hands and used ink to make fingerprints, played with math tiles, magnets, and played with shape cupcakes. To work on our motor skills this week, we played with animal connectors, blocks, and used tongs to sort pompoms into ice cube trays. In art this week, we painted our body outlines and decorated paper dolls with markers.

Tomorrow we will stack alphabet blocks in language, manipulate magnets for cognition, march around the room and play with bristle blocks for motor development, and finger paint in art.
