A Camping We Will Go!

A fun theme all about camping. In art this week the children painted with animals, they created a nature collage using sticks and leaves; they glued red and yellow to make a campfire and tomorrow they will paint with marshmallows. In language the children dictated what they would take on a camping trip, they worked on their language comprehension skills by listening to who, what, and why questions and answered accordingly and today they matched lettered tents. Tomorrow the children will explore some rhyming. In math the children engaged in a camping bingo game, they added apples to trees using a dotted die and explored matching numbered tents, In the water table the children worked with goldfish and bowls. In the block area the children explored a tent, sleeping bag, lanterns, binoculars, and fishing hats. Our star of the week was Bryson, he shared his favorite book, The Cat In The Hat, he brought his favorite toy – a remote control car, he shared all his adventures with traveling Teddy and today he brought his favorite snack.
