Merry Christmas!!…in July 🎅. We had a fun week bringing Christmas back to the classroom. We first began the week discussing what Christmas in July was and the children were told that it is a little less of the halfway point until actual Christmas day. We worked on many different activities this week which included letter recognition and their all time favorite…BINGO! The children even wrote down what kind of gifts they would want if they could get something from Santa right now. We also discussed what Santa is doing during these months. Many friends said that he is on the beach and some think that maybe he already started making toys for this upcoming holiday….we will never know! At the math table the children worked on number recognition activities with light bulbs, roll and cover and adding gifts to Santa’s bag. The children became artsy this week making a shell snowman, a gingerbread man, and a hand print Christmas flamingo! Unfortunately this week we were only able to get to one field trip which was Elmwood Park. We made the best of our Tuesday with having our picnic lunch in the classroom. We will end this week with Coach Katie! Coach Charlotte couldn’t be here so Miss Katie will be teaching us our sports skill for the week! We hope the children had as much fun as we did bringing back Christmas. We have more fun planned next week!Â
