We introduced theme with books, songs, 5 Police safety rules, fire safety short video(stop drop and roll). Named various community helpers and what they do for us and the community.

Monday-Police car- painted paper plate blue and glued on wheels and lights
Tuesday-Fire hat- Glued badge with child’s name on red paper hat
Wednesday-Peeled donut stickers and placed all around baker hat
Thursday-Doctor bag- glued various materials onto the black paper bag- bandages, cotton balls, gauze
Math
Early math activities are provided in the classroom to allow the children to work and build their early math skills. The children worked with various size colored bears to make patterns and organize by size or color,magnet numbers with cookie sheets to count, name number they know and learn new numbers, colored donut rings with pegs to organize by size to make fit on the peg,fireman number cards to practice matching same number and name and count, counting alligator teeth with mini marshmallows counting aloud on the mouth grid.
Fine Motor
Fine motor activities are provided daily so the children can build their strength, hand-eye coordination, grasp and balance. The children explored with a paper police road on the table to follow using small match box cars, Fireman tracing dry erase boards with markers to trace from one end to the other end following the lines,foam blocks with thermometer craft sticks and pumpkin picks to poke in boxes and foam blocks,flip the cookies using small spatulas and cookie sheets to balance and flip using one hand, and lacing fireman trucks with pipe cleaners to practice grip, and hand-eye coordination.
