Lakewood Child Care Center’s infant room provides a loving and nurturing environment for our youngest children, from six weeks to about 14 months.
Our curriculum promotes the infants’ use of their whole bodies and their senses as they manipulate toys and other safe objects, and as they engage in individual play or activities with a teacher and other babies.
Each infant has a curriculum plan based on their age and stage of development to help them meet goals that are just right for them. When not napping or feeding, babies play in the classroom common area, and all toys and materials are cleaned and rotated regularly.
