Dinosaurs, Roar!

Preschoolers love dinosaurs! Monday in art the children painted dino tracks using dinosaur counters, In math the children matched numbered clothespins to the same number dinosaur, which created spikes on the dinosaurs back! In language the children did some dinosaur letter matching. Tuesday in art the children engaged in crayon resist art where they drew a picture using oil pastels, and then watercolor painted over the drawing. In math the children constructed a dinosaur of their own using various shapes. In language the children engaged in a dinosaur bingo activity. Wednesday in art the children glued q-tips to paper, which represented dinosaur bones! In math the children measured dinosaurs length and height using connecting cubes. In language the children worked on letter sounds to match the picture to the letter it started with. Today in art the children painted with a shaving cream and glue mix, to create puffy clouds. In math the children added dino eggs to a dinosaur and with this experience the children made their own dino eggs using playdough. In language the children dictated what would happen if you take a T-Rex to school. Tomorrow in art the children will construct a paper plate dinosaur and in math they will do some beading with rainbow beads and in language the children will explore writing ontop of a siplock filled with paint. In the sensory table this week the children have been working with dinosaur counters, boats, bottles and spoons.
