Dinosaur Stomp!

It’s dinosaur week! Monday in art the children painted with dinosaur stamps and in math the children added spikes to dinosaurs, where they matched the clothespin color to the same color Dino. In language the children engaged in a dinosaur letter matching game. Tuesday in art the children explored crayon resist art where they drew a picture with crayon on their paper and then painted over it with watercolor paint. In math the children got creative and built a dinosaur with various shapes and in language the children played a letter Dino bingo game. Wednesday in art the children glued dinosaur bones (Q-tips) to paper to construct a dinosaur skeleton. In math the children measure dinosaurs with connecting cubes and in language the children engaged in a beginning sound letter match activity. Today in art the children explored more of their creativity a they worked with Q-tips and wooden ring blocks. In math, the children added dinosaur eggs to a grid; and with this they drew a number card to tell how many eggs to add and then made the eggs with play dough. In language the children engaged in a dinosaur bingo game of pictures. Tomorrow in art the children will create a paper plate dinosaur and in math they will engage in rainbow pattern string beading. In language the children will dictate what will happen if you take a T-Rex to school. In the water table this week the children explored dinosaur counters with tree blocks, and we added large tree blocks to the block area.
