We introduced the theme with short videos of Hula dancers, pictures of Luau, coconuts, palm trees, sea turtles and ocean.

Monday-Pineapple- glue tissue paper/stem on brown paper
Tuesday-Sea Turtle- paint bowl green/glue on green squares to resemble it’s shell
Wednesday-Palm tree- glue tree. palm leaves and stamp brown coconuts
Thursday-Tropical Fish- glue sequins on paper plate fish
Friday-Coconuts- paint brown paper plates/add shredded coconut
Math
Number coconut matching by finding the same numbers on the wooden coconuts and place in flower cups, counting shower rings/bracelets by placing around small cones or wrist, sand trays with silly straws for making lines/scribbles/shapes, memory match by finding all the same pictures and putting into a pile naming them.
Motor Development
Flower lacing with shoe laces to practice grip, eye-hand coordination and weaving in and out of the holes, pineapple straws with colanders to push and pull through the holes to manipulate all fingers and build strength, we made oatmeal play-dough with palm tree and flamingo picks and mini cookie cutters to press and make impressions ,magnet fish with fishing poles to practice reeling up and down, tropical fish with tongs and bowls to pick up with one hand.
