It has been another fun week about another famous author, Dr. Seuss! Monday in art the children painted red on white paper with sponges. Min math the children engaged in a Dr. Seuss bingo game and in language the children worked on matching rhyming words. Tuesday in art the children glued together muffin cup fish to paper and in language they traced letters with rainbow goldfish. In math the children worked on patterning with linking fish. Wednesday in art the children did some foot painting as they walked across paper with painted feet. In language the children matched lettered socks and in math the children engaged in a sock concentration activity. Today in art the children did some marble painting in a pie pan and in language the children practiced writing names. In math the children explored a volcano counting game. Tomorrow in art the children will do a baking soda paint volcano and in language they will match letters to a Dr. Seuss hat. In math the children will match truffula trees by number. In science this week the children explored red solo cups and we saw lots of stacking structures. In the water table the children worked with colored fish, strainers and small bowls and cups. This week we have also been practiced our deep breathing with rainbow breaths, balloon breaths and the flower and candle breaths. Tomorrow will also have Coach Charlotte come, so exciting!
