This week’s theme was Easter! In language development, we looked at different Easter pictures and words, played with magnet letters, colored on rabbit and egg shaped paper, and wrote on chalkboards with chalk. In cognitive development, we rolled eggs and other objects down ramps, we did puzzles, we did a peeps experiment, we counted Easter eggs, we did lacing beads, and we dyed Easter eggs. In motor development, we jumped on jellybeans, filled ice cube trays with jellybeans, filled Easter eggs, manipulated play-doh, hopped like bunnies, and manipulated items in our Easter baskets. In art this week, we painted a large egg, marble painted with eggs, and glued cotton balls on bunnies. In social and emotional development this week, we did an Easter egg hunt and an egg relay. In social studies, we talked about Easter traditions at home. This week, we also placed our votes for our favorite books in the book playoff. We also had a surprise visitor-the Easter bunny! Miss Raquel brought in her pet bunny and the children were over the moon with him as the spent the morning cuddling with him. Tomorrow is a teacher work day-so enjoy your long weekend and have a Happy Easter!
Easter Fun!
